The Elementary School Library recently purchased 70 new books with funds received from the Adams County Healthcare Foundation and Thrift Store. We thank them for their generous grant! The kids will love the new books and many have already been checked out. We will order more books in the spring, as we have only used about half of the funds. 6th grade library helpers are pictured here with the new books. The library helpers stamp the books, label them, and help get them ready for circulation.

Have a very happy Thanksgiving!
Check out Mrs. Shumway's 4th grade Idaho History Native American Project! Students display their projects and families have an opportunity to come in and view them. It's a great opportunity for students to share what they've learned with others in our community. Great job, 4th Grade!

It is a busy time of year in the greenhouse classes! Middle school students  are learning to measure and make small projects with wood and to identify plants. They also trimmed out school Syringa. We hope it survives that attack from the daughters of true lumberjacks!

The Floral class also been busy preparing for an upcoming competition and making Cornucopias for Thanksgiving.

Each year, the Youth Advocacy Coalition (YAC) highlights one group in the Mountain North West community to honor through the Nominate a Champion campaign.
Last year, they celebrated amazing first responders.
This year, we’re recognizing the incredible work of our Hope Squad and focusing on the trusted adults who make a positive impact on the lives of our youth. 💙
Do you have a coach, teacher, family member, neighbor, or community member who supports you, believes in you, or helps you feel safe and valued? Someone who shows up for you when it matters most?
✨ Nominate them as your Youth Champion!
Those nominated will be recognized throughout the upcoming year as part of our community’s effort to build hope, strengthen connections, and celebrate the adults who uplift our youth.
Use the QR code on the flyer to cast your nomination anytime throughout the year!

The shop has been very busy over the past few weeks—so busy, in fact, that I haven’t provided an update in a while. All aspects of the shop are running like a well-oiled machine, and we have projects coming in and heading out daily.

The freshman class wrapped up their plumbing unit two weeks ago and is now in the middle of the electrical unit. Students are learning how to wire a simple outlet/light circuit. I want to thank Propel Electric and Jensen Electric for donating supplies for this unit.

Our welding students are working on personal projects as well as preparing for their next welding exam, which will take place in mid-January.

The small engines department has been extremely active as well. So far, students have repaired more than 17 different engines, ranging from chainsaws to water pumps to dirt bikes. Remember—our repair shop is always looking for more engines to fix!

I am very proud of what our Lumberjacks have accomplished so far.
