Free Dental Sealants for Council Jr/Sr High Students
Beginning 10/2/2025, Council Jr/Sr High students can receive free dental sealants and fluoride varnish to help prevent cavities, as part of Delta Dental of Idaho’s Grins on the Go program. Dental sealants fill the deep grooves of a child’s back teeth, where 90% of children’s cavities occur. The fluoride varnish helps protect the smooth surfaces of children’s teeth.
Grins on the Go clinics take place on-site at schools as part of Delta Dental of Idaho’s Community Outreach efforts. To receive these FREE cavity-prevention treatments, children must attend Council Jr/Sr High and have a parent or guardian sign a health history and permission form. Permission forms can be obtained from the school.
The Grins on the Go clinic does not bill Medicaid or private insurance. There is no cost associated with this program. For more information, please call Delta Dental Community Outreach at 1-866-894-3563.

Today is a Grade Check Monday! Every two weeks, all grades from all CHS students are checked. We use this information to make decisions about eligibility for extra curricular activities as well as academic interventions. This tool helps us catch our students who might be falling behind as well as recognize our students who are improving and the ones who are consistently crushing it!
If you have questions or concerns about your students' grades, the best place to start is by talking with your student, checking their Powerschool together, and reaching out to your students' teachers with any questions you have. Let's work together to set a high mark on our grade checks!

Attention Council Elementary School parents:
All students will be dismissed at our normal time of 3:55 pm each day. We had previously allowed kindergarten to dismiss a few minutes early, but to ensure the safety of all our students, kindergarten will now be dismissed at 3:55 pm along with the rest of our students. Also to ensure the safety of our students, kindergarten parents please meet Mrs. Armistead at the "Lumberjack" on the wall in front of the elementary school at 3:55 pm to pick up your students. Please come to the school office to pick up and sign out your child like normal if you ever need to pick up early.
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of our students.
